Junior .Net Web Programmer/Developer

This junior level person will help develop and maintain all company wide websites and web based applications. This person needs to demonstrate success in Web and .NET developing while meeting defined project deadlines. This position will assist in providing maintenance and support for all web related technologies. We are seeking a junior level person who is willing to work hard and be creative to help drive company web initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develop web-based applications using technologies including ASP, ASP.Net XML & HTML.
2. Some Microsoft Visual Studio and SQL Server experience desired.
3. Maintain and support current web sites and web based applications.
4. Troubleshoot web and application system errors.
5. Work with the project manager to gather project requirements, functions, and features for new products.
6. Perform research on systems to provide solutions for requested system enhancements.
7. Ability to communicate highly technical concepts to non-technical managers and staff.
8. Experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle is helpful.
9. Strong analytical skills for the interpretation of business functions and apply the results to create innovative applications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Knowledge of object-oriented design and implementation.
2. General understanding of database theory and ability to write basic queries and stored procedures.
3. Ability to quickly and accurately perform troubleshooting and repair of applications.
4. Interest in enhancing skills and learning new technologies.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. ASP, ASP.NET, XML, VB, HTML, Ajax, Java Script, SQL or other related technologies desired.
7. Demonstrated understanding of object-oriented design and development (OOA/OOD) helpful.
8. Excellent communication skills.
9. Has the drive to succeed.
10. Insurance experience is helpful.
